hoping to buy a new set of boots for the car this april ish ,just wondered what the tyre choice is recomended and any good local suppliers 195/50/15

Bracey - moved this as it really is a techy query!

We use Stunners at £30 a corner on our hillclimber - but this is list 1a and a great road tyre. Toyo 888's at £55 ish for track work. We've also used Bridgestone SO3's, Yokos, Contis and others.

Prices change all the time, but Uncle Bob should be able to get you a good rate at Raw Striker North. Alba Tyres are usually OK if you want a drive-in solution - but no understansing of seven types. From our experience everywhere can be great one visit (cheap, good fitter etc) and crap the next (poor price, tyres don't turn up, fitter takes a lump out of yur wheel, "hear that noise - these tyres won't take a balance" etc).
